INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAMS
Accademia Europea di Firenze (AEF) is Florence International School of Liberal and Performing Arts. Located in the heart of the city, it hosts a community of students, professionals, faculty and staff, promoting a unique inspiring environment. International and American Study Abroad students share classes and activities combining academic excellence, cultural immersion and experiential learning.
The city of Florence is our Campus for Culture, Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Italian Language: we cultivate our students' growth inside and beyond classroom, with courses and activities devoted to experiential learning. Our signature blend is the balance of all the different parts of students’ and professionals’ experience: unique course offering, Florence as a Campus, a community of inspired students and artists, resident and visiting faculty from all over the world in partnership with International Universities.
AEF offers Academic Semester Programs in Fine and Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Fine Arts, Business and Management of the Performing Arts) designed for students and professionals that want to study, live and experience Florence, World Capital of the Arts, birthplace of the Renaissance, Opera and the Italian language.
ACADEMICS: COURSE OFFERING
AEF Semester courses comply with both European and United States academic standards (15 weeks structure, syllabi, credits, faculty, transcripts and certificates) as indicated in our Academic Handbook.
AEF Semester Programs are composed of:
1. an Italian Language Course (6 ECTS/4 US Credits) and
2. Specialization Courses in Fine and Performing Arts and Italian Culture, from a minimum of 24 ECTS/16 US Credits to a maximum of 30 ECTS/20 US Credits.
We don't want our students to be tourists, but rather citizens of Florence. The whole city is our Campus: this is the reason why we offer Italian Language as the Florence Experience Foundation Course (required up to 6 ECTS/4 US Credits). Italian Language is divided into 6 levels and it is offered both in Spring and Fall Semesters. Students will be placed in the class corresponding to their level after Placement test upon arrival. Italian Language can also be chosen as the second course option up to 12 ECTS / 8 US Credits.
Applicants can choose their Specialization Courses from the following:
