The Accademia Europea di Firenze is a School of Italian Arts, Language and Culture. Founded in 2005 as an Italian language school for foreigners, over time our school has expanded and transformed to now offer students courses of Italian art and culture, music and dance.
AEF also offers Certificate Programs in Voice & Opera, Drawing & Painting, Dance, and Italian Language & Culture, as well as Study Abroad Programs in collaboration with prestigious American Universities, intensive Summer and Winter Programs and Joint Academic Programs developed with universities from all over the world.

Florence is pure poetry 365 days a year, but during the summer, music, dance, opera and theater invade squares, terraces and riversides, making it vibrate to the rhythm of art. From the most beautiful cinema in the world to the breathtaking views, from the Calcio Storico to the sold-out concerts, our city prepares to welcome the many shows and exhibitions for the Florentine Summer and more. Here, we point out some of the countless unmissable events that will invade the Tuscan capital between June and September, from traditional to contemporary.

For contemporary art lovers, Secret Florence will be back from June 10 to 15, including site-specific performances, screenings and concerts in new places in the city. A walk from the Cenacle of Santa Apollonia to the Vecchio Conventino, passing from the planetarium to the Chiostro del Carmine to discover an international and contemporary Florence interpreted through the languages of our times.

For rock lovers, instead, the unmissable appointment at the Visarno Arena returns. From June 13 to 16, on the Florence Rocks stage, the many world Billboard stars of music will have something for everyone: from pop phenomenon Ed Sheeran, the historic The Cure, band-icon of the new wave movement; from the legendary Tool, in a highly anticipated world tour, to Eddie Vedder, the biting voice of Pearl Jam. And again, the Smashing Pumpkins, Sum 41, the Editors and many others.

Music and events, but also the authentic Florentine traditions: on June 24 the whole city celebrates the patron, San Giovanni. A whole day of celebrations, including historical parades and traditional games, culminating with the "fochi", an incredible fireworks display from Piazzale Michelangelo during the night. But it doesn't end here! In the afternoon, in fact, the final match of the Calcio Storico is played. Real fan clubs invade Piazza Santa Croce and, under the stern gaze of the statue of Dante, they cheer on their favorite team between the Bianchi di Santo Spirito, the Rossi di Santa Maria Novella, the Verdi of San Giovanni and the Azzurri of Santa Croce.

Moreover, a true open-air theater for opera and ballet under the stars with Musar. The festival in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata will run from July 13 to 24 July with performances by Roberto Bolle and Friends, the "√Čtoile of the two worlds", and the suggestive concert at dawn by the jazz pianist Danilo Rea. While from June to August, many sold-out events with feature films in original language, author films and pop comedies for "Apriti Cinema!" the open-air cinema in the Piazzale degli Uffizi.

From June to August, for the hopeless romantics, Florence from above: six musical events on some of the most beautiful terraces of Florence, from that of the Museo degli Innocenti to the walkway of Palazzo Vecchio, a first-time perspective to discover breathtaking views in music.
