The Accademia Europea di Firenze is an International School of Italian Arts, Language and Culture. Founded in 2005 as an Italian language school for foreigners, over time our school has expanded and transformed to now offer students courses of Italian art and culture, music and dance. AEF also offers Certificate Programs in Voice & Opera, Drawing & Painting, Dance, and Italian Language & Culture, as well as Study Abroad Programs in collaboration with prestigious American Universities, intensive Summer and Winter Programs and Joint Academic Programs developed with universities from all over the world. David Schroeder, B.M.E. University of Northern Iowa, M.M. New England Conservatory, D.A., New York University. As Professor, Director and Chair of the NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions, Dr. Schroeder is continually developing an interactive environment between students, artist/faculty and the music community thriving in and around New York City. Schroeder's vision for music education combines theory and practice, taking advantage of NYU's proximity and interaction with legendary jazz clubs and music venues, as well as other music industry opportunities located within New York City and around the world. As the Director for Steinhardt Music’s dedicated Study Away sights at NYU Paris and NYU Prague, his students gain confidence in pursuing international careers in music.
