Ernst Karl Jorns

Ernst Karl Jorns

Karl studied architecture in Rio de Janeiro and textile design at the International Fashion Institute (Polimoda) in Florence. He has extensive experience in the creation and realization of garments, accessories and costumes, as well as in the field of photography. Since 1995 he has been teaching at Polimoda, at the Fabric Museum of Prato, and in numerous American programs. He has held numerous exhibitions of his works in both Brazil and Italy.

Floarea Virban

FLOAREA

With a Degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Bucharest, Floarea later obtained a Ph.D. in Literature from the same university and a second Ph.D. in History and Civilization from the European University of Florence. She is the author of numerous publications and has carried out intense research work. She has been teaching since 1991, initially in Romania and then in Italy, mainly in programs for the American Universities in Florence. She speaks 6 modern languages as well as several ancient ones.

Leonardo Rossano

leonardo rossanoArchitect and designer, Leonardo graduated in Florence in 1991. During the nineties he collaborated with architect Claudio Nardi in projects for private homes, public areas and boutiques. Since 1998 he has been working as a freelancer, designing furniture, products, and exhibition spaces, with focus on the corporate image and communication.

Elizabeth Butler

ELIZABETH BUTTLER

Born in Virginia (USA), Elizabeth obtained a degree in Renaissance Art from Syracuse University in Florence with a thesis on “Women’s art production in convents”. Her research into women artists in convents is ongoing. With a myriad of study and work experiences abroad she also obtained a tourist guide diploma for the city and province of Florence where she also works as a lecturer in numerous museums. Elizabeth has been collaborating with the Accademia Europea di Firenze since 2009, both as a teacher and coordinator of field trips.

Tina Fallani

Tina Fallani graduated in Film Editing, Video and Film at the Film School, Regione Lombardia RAI and a degree in Screenplay with Tonino Guerra at Evviva Il Cinema, Republic of San Marino. She studied Law at the University of Florence and has taught regularly in numerous American universities since 1992. She has collaborated on many important film productions, including The Secret Garden (Agnieszka Holland); Dracula, The Godfather Trilogy and Godfather III (Francis Ford Coppola); Henry and June and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Phil Kaufman); The Neon Empire (Larry Penn); Mountains of the Moon (Bob Rafelson); Dead Poets Society (Peter Weir); Willow (George Lucas); Of Men and Angels (William Farley). She was a jury member at the San Francisco International Film Festival and coordinator of the Florence Film Festival.
