AEF Italian language + CILS Certificate Program

The AEF Italian Language + CILS Certificate program prepares students in knowledge of Italian language and culture, as well as the CISL exam (Certification of Italian as a Second Language) * certified by the University of Siena and recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs **.

The CILS certification
The CILS certification is recognized worldwide in academic (public and private schools of all levels), institutional (public administration, consular offices and embassies) and professional realms (companies with specific requirements of a certain level of competence in the Italian language).

Many schools, universities and Italian companies require or suggest a B2 or C1 certification in order to apply. CILS C2 is a necessary requirement for teaching Italian as a second language.

Flexibility
The program is structured around two CILS exam dates (June and December) and built on the basis of each students’ knowledge of the Italian language at the time of enrollment and the level of certification chosen./p>

Qualified professors, small classes
The AEF Italian Certificate program provides the qualified experience of the AEF teaching team, prepared to teach students from all over the world and dedicated to students in small classes (max 15 students; 8 students on average for each level).

Program structure
The AEF Italian Language + CILS Certificate Program combines the study of grammar, conversation, exercises and activities of Italian culture with a specific Exam-preparation course up to the Final Exam administered on site by the professors of the Accademia Europea di Firenze.

Voice & Opera Certificate Program

The Certificate Program in Voice & Opera combines training in vocal and musical technique with dramaturgical preparation, thus offering lyrical singers an integrated perspective of the art of singing and performance. It is a three-year program divided into 2 levels - Foundation, Advancement, Completion -, in turn divided into 2 semesters each - Fall and Spring -. At the end of each semester and each level, students receive an AEF Diploma.

While not giving up on a solid classical vocal tradition, our students experiment with broader fields of study, from musical theater to lyric repertoire, in order to acquire all the skills necessary to face their future careers.

In addition to lectures in the classroom, held by internationally renown professors and artists, the program offers the opportunity to participate in shows and productions under the guidance of directors, choreographers, producers and professional designers. Within the three-year period, students must participate in a minimum of 3 productions and perform at least one main role in an opera performance.

Admission to the program is not subject to a traditional Audition: applicants will have to send audio materials that will be examined by the teaching staff of AEF. Once the evaluation of these materials has been carried out, only the candidates for whom the commission requests further information will be contacted. For more information on how to submit these materials, send an email to the following address: info@aefirenze.it

Drawing & Painting Certificate Program

Florence has been one of the world's art capitals since the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The masterpieces of Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo are just a part of the incredible artistic heritage that the city offers and a source of continuous inspiration for artists and lovers of beauty.

The AEF Drawing and Painting Certificate Program is a three-year program dedicated to those who want to pursue a career in the art world. It is divided into 3 levels - Foundation, Advancement, Completion - each of which is divided in turn into 2 semesters - Fall and Spring-. At the end of each semester and each level, students receive an AEF Diploma.

Based on a solid formative training in theory, students are guided to express their ideas through painting and drawing. This experiential approach allows them to develop a personal artistic language, as well as to understand and place their work in the Italian and European pictorial tradition, past and present.

Florence and the Renaissance are in fact the context in which students work and find inspiration to consolidate and further develop their artistic path. The professors are active painters on the Italian art scene and art theorists, and the courses are held in equipped and spacious studios. The painting exhibitions that are regularly organized at Palazzo Niccolini are an integral part of the program, for which students must create original works. Internships at prestigious Florentine art galleries are also possible.

Classes are taught in English.
