Italian Language and Culture courses

Registration and payment:
* To enroll at the European Academy of Florence, the registration form must be sent together with a copy of the down payment for the payment of the course price and the balance for any accommodation required.
* The deposit to be paid is equal to 50% of the course price and 100% of the accommodation price requested together with the enrollment fee.
* Form and receipt must be received at least 30 days before the start of the course if no accommodation is required.
In the case of a request for accommodation, the form and receipt must be received at least 90 days before the start of the course.
* The total balance of the course must be paid within the first week of the course according to the methods indicated in the confirmation.
* Payments can be made by international postal order, bank transfer or credit card.
For those booking courses less than 2 weeks before the course starting date, full payment must be sent with their registration.
Registrations are confirmed only upon submission of the registration form and payment of the registration fee and the total course fee.
Registration fee: €80.

Cancellations: * Cancellations must arrive at the European Academy by e-mail at least 30 days before the start of the chosen course in order to obtain a refund of the deposit paid for the course minus the 20% relating to administrative costs and excluding the enrollment fee. In case of cancellation for the paid accommodation, the request must be received at least 60 days before the date of use of the same in order to obtain a refund minus 20% of the amount paid.
* If cancellations do not respect the dates indicated above, the deposit paid for the course will not be refunded; however, it will be possible to use the deposit paid for enrollment in another course that starts in any period within 12 months following the course for which cancellation is requested, while the amount paid for accommodation will not be refunded.

*Registrations are confirmed only upon submission of the enrollment form and payment of the registration fee and the total course fee.

Visas: * Students from member states of the European Community do not need a visa. However, it is advisable that they ask their Health Service how to take advantage of free Italian medical assistance.
* Students from non-member countries of the European Community must contact the Italian diplomatic authorities (Embassies, Consulates) in their country and, upon presentation of the certificate of enrollment from the European Academy, apply for a study visa if required. * The Accademia Europea is not responsible for cancellations due to failure to issue an entry visa to Italy.

Insurance:
* It is advisable to have insurance for accidents, illnesses, theft or loss: the European Academy is in no case to be held responsible for these events.

Lessons:

* Lessons and optional activities take place from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 19.00, each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Any lessons lost for reasons beyond the school cannot be made up for.
Accommodations:

* The Accademia Europea di Firenze, at the request of the students and, depending on the availability of the market, provides accommodation for them. The accommodation prices published on the site are indicative and must be confirmed based on the availability of the apartments for the period desired by the student. * Students are under no obligation to use this service. The data requested at the Accommodation service point are not mandatory, they are voluntary for the sole purpose of favoring the search for housing for the student, it being understood that AEF does not necessarily undertake to find accommodation for each of its students; if these data are not provided, the Academy will not be able to facilitate the search for an optimal housing arrangement.

Enrollment and Payment

To enroll at AEF, please send the completed enrollment form along with any other documentation requested. The deposit to be paid is the Enrollment Fee plus 50% of the Tuition fee, of the Housing fee and of the Meal Plan if requested. The payment can be made by credit card through our online link or by wire transfer.

Deadlines

* To enroll at Accademia Europea di Firenze, you must send by March 1st (Fall Deadline) / September 1st (Spring Deadline), the Enrollment form.

 * A copy of the deposit receipt of the 50% payment by March 30st(Fall Deadline) / September 30st (Spring Deadline)

* The balance due must be paid by April 15th (Fall Deadline) / October 15th(Spring Deadline)

* Payment can be made by international postal money order, banking deposit, or credit card online

Cancellations
* Any cancellation request must be sent to Accademia Europea di Firenze via email by June 1st (Fall Deadline)/ December 1st (Spring Deadline), in order to receive a refund of up to 70% of the program fee.
* For any and all cancellations received after June 1st (Fall Deadline) / December 1st (Spring Deadline), no refunds will be issued.

Study Visas
Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Community, should inquire at the nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate or at the website: http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en to determine whether or not they will require a study visa, and where and how to apply. Visa application will require the Certificate of Registration that AEF provides with the Confirmation.
Each student is responsible for obtaining their Student Visa. Once here, AEF will assist them in securing the Permesso di Soggiorno and other government documentation. Students are responsible for any/all relative fees for these outsources services and documents. AEF is not responsible for cancellations due to the failure to obtain a visa to enter Italy.
Students who are citizens of the member states of the European Community do not need a visa. It is however advisable that they request an E111 from the Health Services of the country, if they want to be covered by the Italian National Health Service.

Insurance
It is advisable to have insurance that covers you for accidents, illness, theft or loss: AEF and apartment landlords cannot be held responsible. You may also be asked to demonstrate insurance coverage as a part of the requirements for your visa.

Courses and AEF building hours
The lessons and extra-curricular activities take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 7:00pm, with the exception of Academic Fieldtrips that may occur on weekends, and optional weekend Faculty-led cultural activities.
Lessons missed for reasons independent of the school cannot be made up.
