CREDITS

AEF courses comply with both American Universities standards and European Higher Education guidelines (Bologna Process).
Courses workload is expressed in U.S semester hours and their equivalent ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System) in syllabi, academic transcripts and attendance certificates.
ECTS credits are the European academic standard, established in 1999 for the purpose of enabling the mobility of students within the borders of Europe. Today, the ECTS makes it possible for the best European higher education institutes to communicate with the whole world. The system defines the characteristics of the courses, the contact hours, study hours, clarity of the information, guidelines for assessing the results, and more importantly, it guarantees the maximum transparency and quality of every aspect of the educational offer.

CREDIT TRANSFER
Every student is responsible for checking with their home institution for the recognition of the courses and the relative credits towards their degree: the acceptance of transfer credits is always governed by the receiving school.
