Diction for Singers
Description | This course will explore the principles of phonetics as it applies to singers. It is designed to cover the basics of the International Phonetic Alphabet, with attention to the Italian language, and will focus primarily on practical application, critical listening and vocal performances. |
Learning outcomes | From this course, students will receive a greater awareness of Italian correct pronunciation and of his vocal skills. Singing with correct Italian diction increases the capacity of the student to sing with a better technique, acquiring the right placement of each Italian vowel. The students will also be able to recognize the importance of double consonants. |
