Vocal Techniques

Description

Guided by a professional in voice technique, students will develop healthy vocal techniques including correct breathing, the proper use of muscles to obtain a better sound emission, understanding tune placement and resonance; physiological aspects of phonation; competence in singing in Italian. Primary to the study of vocal techniques are the fundamentals of singing—posture, breath management, vowel production, consonant production, musical line, vocal flexibility and the ability to interpret music with expression and appropriate style. 

Learning outcomes

Students will learn the physiology of the voice and apply that knowledge to their technical studies. To reinforce the vocal technique already possessed by the student in order to provide the foundation for their future studies.
