Aesthetics Communication

Description

Aesthetics – literally “the science of the sense perception” – is the study of the messages to the senses, the media that convey them, and the artistic “massages” of the senses, involving beauty, taste and judgment. With lectures, hands-on activities and out-of-class lessons the course is a journey through the languages of the arts as communication skills for the 21st century.                                               

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will have practised and learnt the basic communication skills that are crucial to their contribution both as professionals and as people:                • Self-awareness                                                                • Presentation skills: public speaking is trained throughout the course.                                                                         • Critical analysis                                                                • Leadership & Decision Making;                                          • Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills;                                                     • Creativity & Imagination
