History and Culture of Painting

Description

The course offers a general introduction to painting through its phases, periods, movements, techniques, and main authors. It will pay particular attention to the Italian and Florentine pictorial tradition, enhancing the interaction with the territory. The course concludes with the production of a collective exhibition.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students will be able to:
1. Identify an artistic-creative expression in its peculiarities;                                                               2. To know the methods of analysis of perception phenomena;                                                               3. Basic tools for setting up and performing a search;                                                                 4. Evaluation of research results and their usefulness in the field of knowledge.
