The Painting Course centers on the Macchiaioli, who were active in Tuscany during the Italian Risorgimento.
These include, among others, Tommaso Fattori, Telemaco Signorini and Vincenzo Cabianca , whose works will be examined in class.
Students will acquire techniques for creating various effects, painting from life in the same pictorial chiaroscuro used by the Macchiaioli, based on Renaissance techniques. The Macchiaioli were able represent reality in the time it took to make a drawing, in full colour and without foregoing accurate depiction.
The course is available on an individual basis: this formula allows the student to construct the program directly with the teacher and adapt it to his/her individual training needs.
